Last week by our old pal OliverClozoff, Re: Snapple Facts -

#182 A rainbow can only be seen in the morning or late afternoon.

Several years ago I was living in Los Alamos, NM. It was late
December, and it was unusually warm. We had a rainshower that
morning, and after the storm moved off, I saw a rainbow at noon. It
was directly to the north and rather low on the horizon, but it was a perfect double bow -- complete, end to end.

That time of the year the sun is low enough in the sky, even at mid-
day, to produce a rainbow, but it's quite rare to get rain rather
than snow then. However, when conditions are just right, it is
possible to see a rainbow at noon.

    Have fun and stay goofy,

    -Ollie ;o)
