The Pope had just finished a tour of the United States and was taking a limousine to the airport. Having never driven a limo, he asked the chauffeur if he could drive for a while.

Well, the chauffeur didn't have much of a choice, so he climbed into the back of the limo and the Pope took the wheel.

The Pope hopped on the freeway and started accelerating to see what the limo could do. He got up to about 95 miles per hour when he saw the flashing blue lights of a police car in his mirror.

He pulled over and the trooper came to his window. Stunned, the trooper said, "Just a moment, your Emminence, I need to call in to the station!"

The trooper radioed in and asked for the chief. "I've got a REALLY important person pulled over and I need to know what to do."

"Who is it? The mayor?" asked the chief.

"No sir, even more important than that," replied the trooper.

"Is it the Governor?"

"No sir. It's someone more important than the governor."

"What the heck did you do, pull over the President of the United States?"

"No sir, it's not the president," the trooper replied.

"THEN WHO IS IT?" screamed the chief.

"Well Sir, I don't exactly know," said the trooper, "but he's got the Pope as his chauffeur!"
