Apparently a woman in this town has been breast-feeding the local children.
This woman has been reported to approach strangers with adoring
praises of the newborns.
Most women can talk about their newborns for hours, and eagerly welcome the new listener.
What they don't count on, however, is that after a trifle conversation, the stalking breast-feeder waites for an
opportune moment and clutches the baby from its stroller. She then puts the baby to her breast, stunning the mothers.
Babies are not particularly discriminating about their suckling, and have at it.
The woman is quoted as saying to one mother, "Every
child needs lactate nourishment."
The police are concerned that such incidents may lead to more serious crimes, or that this strange woman may transmit
either drugs or disease into the infants' bloodstreams.
So, if you're ever in Eureka wanting to meet a woman, a new tack may be to push a stroller around town.
