A German entrepreneur Launched a range of women's
underwear and perfumes carrying the name "Lady Di.''
The product range invokes the name of Britain's Princess Diana,
killed in a car crash in Paris in 1997.
"I think what people remember after Diana's death is her life
and her beauty which we try to get across in our products,''
Andre Engelhardt told Reuters Television.
Of the underwear, he said: "....Diana was a young, energetic and
very beautiful woman and I really doubt that she wore some
old-fashioned underwear underneath her fancy dresses.''
Engelhardt insisted he was not trying to cash in on Diana's
death. He said he registered the "Lady Di'' trademark in Germany
one day after her death but waited until now to launch his
products as a mark of respect.
