SYDNEY - A woman who police allege swallowed 320 condoms full of heroin appeared in an Australian court on drugs charges on Sunday.
The 25-year-old Australian woman was stopped by Customs officials after she got off a flight from Singapore on June 18 on suspicion that she was concealing drugs internally, an Australian Federal Police spokeswoman said.
She was handed over to police and then taken to hospital, where she was kept until all the drug-filled condoms had passed out of her system.
The woman made a bail appearance in court on Sunday and remained in custody, the spokeswoman said.
