USA in the Air

An Air Force training squadron flies in a never-done-before "USA" formation over the control tower "Taj Mahal" of Randolph Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. The jets are moving around 400 mph, and getting this photo was not easy. As for the pilots, this formation is particularly difficult. The jets forming the letter S cannot just line up level with the jets forming the U and the A ... they have to be spaced just right to maintain the formation.
