They are still trying to install high speed access where I live. At least I was smart enough to get a '56K' modem. I'm dumping my AOL account for anything over 1Mbps at the first chance though.

    AOL isn't even an ISP!
How can people live with 14.4 modems?
We got pissed at CompuServe 2000 so dumped with for Charter Pipeline Cable! Old connection speed: 46667 Bytes/Second Reliability: Medium/Low New Connection Speed: 300-900 KB/second! AT night it can reach 1.2 MB! It only costs $30/month. No second phone line required, no dialing! Dump crappy 14.4 modems and go with cable! You only need a USB port or an ethernet card

    How about... (0 replies)

everyone stop being so fucking cheap and pay a couple extra bucks for Cable, DSL, or any other broadband. I'm sick of those slow ass cheap fucks who still have a 14.4 modem downloading from my T1 at Napster. Get with the new Millenium you Luddites

The thing about pussy is that it always wants you to commit to it, but never wants you to actually have it.

When will people stop using AOL? You can get free Internet almost anywhere. Or you can stick with AOL and then shoot yourself in the head.
