It's widely known that Kerry fought in the Vietnam war, and later protested it. This pic has recently been used to establish a link between Kerry and Fonda's decision to visit and support North Vietnam. (Which is quite a different category from legitimate political protest.) It's unsuitable for that purpose since Fonda did not go to North Vietnam until 2 years *after* the picture was made.
