It really is a small world

Two guys are paired up and are out golfing one day. They happen to be behind
a pair of ladies who are awfully slow. As they finish up the fifth hole and realize it's gonna be a while, one guy asks the other to go ahead and see if the ladies mind if they play through.
To which the first guy agrees and makes his way to the gals. He comes back shortly with a pale look on his face and his friend asks what's wrong.
He says "I can't ask, because one of the ladies is my wife and the other is my
mistress." So his buddy agrees to go ask. He also returns shortly with a look all to familiar to his friend and when asked what's wrong replies, "Small world!"
