Fresh Fish Fall on English Town
LONDON - Britain´s Meteorological Office said it was a freak phenomenon probably caused by a small tornado out to sea, but the people of the fishing port of Great Yarmouth were nonetheless surprised earlier this week with a shower of fresh sprats. Retired ambulance driver Fred Hodgkins said: I thought at first I might have had something wrong with my eyes. The whole of my back yard seemed to be covered in little slivers of silver. A Meteorological Office spokesman said a waterspout could have sucked up sea water and fish and dumped it over land.
