324-Square-Foot Tokyo House Sells For $118,000
TOKYO - Think home prices in the States are high? A Japanese home could give you a serious case of sticker shock.
A Tokyo company, Commdesign, sells the cube-shaped "minimum house." It's an 18-by-18 foot wooden cube that sells for $118,000.
That's just for the house, the owner has to supply land.
When you live in a tiny home, forget about a big couch or a room for the kids. Eleven-year-old Sumire lives in one of the cube homes with her parents and sister.
But Sumire says wants to move out - to the doghouse. She says she'll have more room sleeping with the family pet in the back yard. |
